Biography

Michael T. Maxwell 43, of Shreve passed away Sunday Sept. 30, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Church of the Saviour 480 Fry Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Rev. Dean Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2hrs prior to the service at the church. Mike was born February 1, 1969 in Wooster, the son of Richard G. and Sandra Rittenhouse Maxwell. On June 24, 1989 he married Donna Gentry who survives. He was a 1987 graduate of Triway High School. He was a 22 year employee of the Wayne County Sheriffs Department serving as a Corrections officer, Patrolman, Detective and Sergeant during his career. Mike enjoyed hunting, sports, playing poker, attending his children’s activities, and his job and the impact it had on people’s lives. Along with his wife, Mike is survived by his two children Kyle Maxwell and Emily Maxwell both of Shreve. His mother of Wooster. 3 brothers: Ron (Jan) Maxwell, of Wooster, Rick (Machelle) Maxwell of Wooster, and Doug (Carla) Hawkins, of Amherst. A sister; Tanya (John) Anderson of Wooster. Many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mike Maxwell Family Benefit Fund c/o any Commercial Savings & Loan Bank.
